The international conference Functional Architecture of Memory (FAM) will take place for the seventh time – registration is now open! From May 20 to 22, 2026, FAM will once again bring together researchers from around the world to discuss current findings and key controversies in memory research.

The focus will be on the functional architecture of memory and parallels between human and animal memory. The latest results from behavioral studies, imaging, electrophysiology, mutagenesis, and computer-assisted approaches will be presented and discussed.

The conference brings together leading international experts in the field of medial temporal lobe and memory research. The program will be complemented by daily brainstorming sessions, which will offer students and doctoral candidates in particular the opportunity to present their own projects and receive valuable feedback.
