Did you know .... ?
The brain is a fascinating organ, it has a very complex structure and is therefore still not completely researched.
We can anatomically distinguish two halves and four main areas of the brain. But what happens inside? In the nerve cells and the synapses? How are signals transmitted? How are the different brain areas interconnected? Where are memories stored?
At the LIN, we do basic research and want to find out how learning and memory processes function. We need both human volunteers and animal experiments to carry out our research and answer these fundamental questions.
