The Leibniz Institute for Neurobiology (LIN) successfully defended the certificate for family-conscious and life-phase oriented working conditions – issued by the berufundfamilie Service GmbH - on December 10, 2019.
Altogether, 84 employers were awarded in this re-auditing process. To find a good balance between career and family life is often difficult especially in science and research. As an employer, LIN offers flexible working hours, home office and mobile working but also a nursing room. Information events for parents or about the care of family members and qualification courses for group leaders on the topics of work-family balance are regulartly organized.
Further objectives were defined for a family-conscious personnel policy. The certificate is valid for three years. In 2013, the institute was awarded the berufundfamilie audit certificate for the first time, and in Summer 2016, LIN successfully defended it.
