The German Research Foundation (DFG) has extended funding for a research group in Molecular Neurobiology at Göttingen University for another three years. The research group "Dissection of a Brain Circuit: Structure, Plasticity and Behavioral Function of the Drosophila Mushroom Body" is investigating nerve cells, synapses and neuronal circuits using a part of the brain of the fruit fly Drosophila as an example. The total funding requested is around 2.8 million euros.
