The LIN and Tel Aviv University are expanding their scientific collaboration. A Memorandum of Understanding provides the formal framework for this. The focus is on joint research questions relating to learning and memory, as well as the training of early-career researchers.
Joint methodology workshops are set to begin as early as 2026. A summer school in Magdeburg is also planned for 2027. Researchers from both institutions aim to use this opportunity to exchange knowledge and methods for investigating brain processes at various levels.
A further step is the establishment of a joint electrophysiology and neuroimaging hub. This is intended to forge closer links between research, methodological training and academic exchange.
To mark the start of this enhanced collaboration, researchers from the LIN and Tel Aviv University came together for a symposium in Magdeburg on 25 August.
