Prof. Dr. Stefan Remy, currently group leader at the German Centre for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE) in Bonn, was officially appointed by the LIN Board of Trustees on November 12 as the new head of a department and future director of the institute.
The 44-year-old physician and neuroscientist investigates the complex neuronal activation patterns in the brain that control behaviour. He will succeed Prof. Dr. Eckart Gundelfinger as Managing Director from January 2020. Remy will establish the new department "Cellular Neuroscience" at the LIN next year.
Prof. Remy's inauguration ceremony will take place on January 9, 2020.
